Founder and visionary Rudy Colombini has persevered with his lifetime passion for music and a goal to lay the foundation for this bold entertainment organization. Inspired 20 years ago, Colombini and his team have worked tirelessly to create the dynamic Music City Artist Development. Colombini expresses his vision, “I want to honor and reignite the rich musical history of San Francisco and foster the burgeoning renaissance in musical talent while offering a space to unite, educate, and mentor musicians of today and tomorrow.” -Rudy Colombini, MCAD President
Honoring the historic musical legacy of San Francisco, Music City Hit Factory is dedicated to working musicians, providing opportunities and resources for music career development. Fostering creativity and collaboration, Rudy has donated to this adventurous project contributing to the cultural vitality of San Francisco.
Located in the Polk Gulch neighborhood, Music City is an innovative concept space that merges music rehearsal studios with hotel and hostel services.
The soon-to-be launched performance area will house a dynamic stage, restaurant, bar, classrooms, and top-notch studios for rent, as well as a radio station and museum that pays tribute to the legendary musical history of the city. With five-floors, two of which are under construction, the venue is an international platform where fellow musicians gather, compose, rehearse, and educate with the camaraderie of fellow artists.
“I’ve realized,” Rudy says, “that all of my energy needs to be donated to what I’m doing here. Music City highlights the immense talent of musicians in our community and adds to the richness and vitality of San Francisco.”
